Wii updating do not turn power off cincinnati on line dating
Many users did exactly that, probably assuming their system froze, Wi-Fi was messed up, or something else, but apparently these users are now enjoying a very heavy paperweight: their Wii Us are bricked. Whether you’re downloading updates to your phone, updates to your PC, or updates to anything else…we always see the, “Do not restart or power off your device during the installation/upgrade process.”?To fix the problem, I have to physically unplug the Wii U from the back.Holding the Power Button down for 10 seconds does nothing. For me, on four different occasions, the Power Light has turned Orange/Yellow and stayed Orange/Yellow permanently. When I tried to turn on the Wii U, the Power Light will turn Blue, but the Wii U itself will not start. The Wii U will sound as active as it was when it was turned Off, with the exception being that now the Orange/Yellow Light is Blue.
You know how the Power Light is normally Red, but will turn Orange/Yellow when the Wii U is doing something in Standby Mode and then turn back Red once it's done?
After replugging the Wii U, the Power Light will be Red and the console will resume functioning as normal.
It’s pretty much common sense, but I guess the anticipation and excitement has gotten the best of many Nintendo fans.
Just wanted to share this experience with you in hopes that I can save the lives of so many Wii U consoles that may find themselves endangered due to unknowing or incompetent owners.
This is no surprise as launch hype was high and Nintendo’s servers were likely being pounded.
Public service announcement: do NOT restart or turn off your Wii U during the initial software upgrade.
